In the beginning of the 2003-2004 school year students found their way to School Nurse Mattey’s office to talk about poster ideas they had developed. Freshman John Robichaud wanted to feature the JROTC students at Mount Pleasant. Current events had focused students on the sacrifices soldiers were making in Afganistan and in Iraq. With the help of his advisor, John developed this slogan. The poster features John, Sophomores Jaxx Crittendon and Ebony Oliver and Junior Alex Murphy. Another student coordinated Smoke-Free dog tags to be distributed to fellow students. That activity became quite popular and students proudly display their Knights Against Tobacco Smoke Free dog tags.
